writing vs. allergies
Damn, this early summer weather has officially kick-started my allergies in a big bad way. Treating them with just small doses of local honey is no longer working, so I guess it's time to start popping pills. I'm kind of dreading the allergy meds though, because they usually make me feel pretty muddle-headed, a condition that I worry that will adversely affect my writing, which has otherwise been going like gangbusters lately. I think I've written more in the past couple weeks than I think I did in all of 2009. Still, I can't really write while scratching out my eyes and sneezing like a machine gun either, so I reckon I'll have to take my chances with the muddle for the time being.

Sorry about the allergies. How does the 'local honey" thing work? exposes you to local pollen and kicks your immune system into drive?

Yeah, that's the theory. Studies haven't proven that it works yet, but it did the trick for me last year.
