film festival kinda
So, my April got kind of beat up when I found out the local film festival that I usually spend my vacation on isn't happening this spring. But the Film Society is going to throw a mini-festival from the 9th-11th. While most of the nine films don't excite me, they are going to show the Korean film Joheunnom nabbeunnom isanghannom (aka The Good, The Bad, and The Weird), a "kimchi western" from Ji-woon Kim, the excellent director of A Bittersweet Life and A Tale of Two Sisters (which he remade for American audiences as The Uninvited).

And it's the day after the long-delayed season opener of the roller derby (Philly vs. London), so that weekend's definitely taking shape!
