Watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night. One of the myriad Apatow productions, it was written by and starring Jason Segal, who I've always enjoyed in Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared. It was kind of funny and kind of cute, but unfortunately not quite enough of either to really be good. Segal plays a guy who gets dumped by his tv star girlfriend and heads to Hawaii to forget about her, a plan that obviously doesn't turn out well. Mila Kunis from That 70s Show does pretty well in it, but it's so weird to hear her talking in her normal voice, instead of like Jackie. The brilliant part, which more or less makes the whole film worthwhile is the Dracula puppet rock opera the main character is working on, which was actually Segal's personal project that he cannibalized for the sake of the film. I really want to see more of it.
