Damn you, angel food cupcake recipe!  
I tried to make these raspberry swirl angel food cupcakes on sunday, but for some reason the cakes came out as gummy little inedible lumps. And since the recipe called for a vanilla bean, they were damn expensive gummy little inedible lumps.

So to use up the already made raspberry filling, I made up two dozen cupcake-sized raspberry swirl cheesecakes, which I have to say came out pretty darn tasty.

In other news, today's photograph is definitely in the running for favorite Wayback Wednesday ever.

you win some you loose some, angel food cake is hard to get right. depends on your altitude, where the recipe came from, their always deflating them selves. if it got really small you might have had too much levening? or not enough. are you at sea level? I'll dig around and see if i can find you a new one....

also, this picture is fantastic. i really like way back wednesdays the best...

Fair enough. if you ever want to bake biscotti i have a good base recipe. and its really easy to make. and soooo good. At work i'm the official biscotti master. this week i made chocolate lavender and some chocolate hazelnut. I could probably adjust it for sea level fairly easily too.
