Music:A Girl Called Eddy - "People Used to Dream About the Future"
et dieu... créa la femme
This weekend K. and I watched And God Created Woman, the film which launched the career of sex kitten turned inciter of racial hatred Bridget Bardot. Written and directed by Roger Vadim (Barbarella), it tells a fairly sexist story of eighteen-year-old, erotically-charged, consistantly barefoot Juliette whose spoiled antics bring troubles aplenty to the handful of men tripping over each other to get what they want from her. While it had a few moments of palpable drama, the story operated mostly as an excuse to put the pouty Bardot in a series of sexy, pin-up girl poses and scenarios, culminating in her famous, erotic, tabletop mambo dance that drives at least one man mad.
