now that the game is over, I can tell you that I was always routing for the team that eventually won
Is there really any point in Al Gore endorsing Barak Obama AFTER the nominating is over? I realize it's good strategy to try and keep candidates constantly in the news, but it just seems like such a non-event now.

Its to remind people of how the election was stolen last time and to make them think of how different things would have been had a Democrat been in office. Rememeber the last eight years? That would never had happened if Al Gore was in office. It would have been all milk & honey if a democrate was in office. The world would love America if a democrate was in office. And, Hey!, y'know what? There's and election comming up and YOU can vote for a democrate that Al Gore supports. Did you know Al Gore would have made things better during the last eight years? Or you can vote for George (Boo hiss) Bush...I mean John McCain. Who is a republican.(boo hiss thieves!) Not like Al (yay!)Gore who didnt send us to war and is a democrate like Barak Obama(oh my!).

The Democrats need to do anything and everything they can to ensure Obama gets into the White House. I vote for the party every chance I get but I've seen them lose too many elections they could've won-- and Obama losing his chance would just be too heartbreaking.

Plus, who doesn't like Al Gore?

This may be sarcastic. (I can't tell anymore)
I believe this is Al Gore, much like John Edwards, exhibiting the kind of moral courage that has made the Democrats such a *wonderfully* effective opposition party over the past seven years.

Re: This may be sarcastic. (I can't tell anymore)
Being that Michigan is considered a "battleground" state it's no coincidence that the 2 biggest endorsements, John Edwards and Al Gore, were made in Michigan. Obama's a very smart politician and where and when these announcement should be disounted lightly.

It's not quite as wonderfully ambivilant as John Edwards' action, but only because Gore is no longer in the political arena. At least, for the moment.
