wayback wednesday  
I was surprised to see today that it's only been two weeks that I've been walking to work. It feels like I've been doing it forever. Although I'm getting a bit anxious for my feet to get stronger because they're giving me a little pain this week. I should probably be stretching them in some way before my walks, I guess.

Wow, I barely understand a word of that but it sounds neat. Like stuff you'd find in Iron Man's shoes.

Keens are supposed to be good shoes. I am a little concerned that your feet don't feel good when you walk, though.

I've been wearing this style for a year now and really love them, so I suspect it's not my shoes that are causing it.

Also, and I should have probably mentioned this earlier, the pain is all in the left foot. So I'm hoping that I just pulled a muscle in it or something.

where exactly in your foot is the pain? And why are people giving you comments in Russian?

It starts just before the big toe, on the top side of the foot, and it runs about halfway up that toe. It's not constant, but if my toes bend upward enough, it starts to flare up.

I just did a quick internet search and it is suggested that big toe pain could be caused by gout. !!

Heh... I'm just about old enough for that! There's no swelling or redness though.

Who is this Betty? I'd like to see more of her to just if that's her best...

2wks is a good start to an exercise program. I've never found stretching to do any good before exercise. After warming up however...! I'd suggest Bob Anderson's book "Stretching" It rocks. Definately do something though. You *don't* want to tear/injure something. At the very least when you get to work/home take your shoes offs then for a few minutes rotate your ankles both ways, then open/close your toes, point them and if you're not afraid massage the bottom. And hey, with a little practice some of your models will want foot massages too!

Your toe pain sounds like your shoe is binding against the top of your foot.
