Decided at the show that my new drink is straight rum (on the rocks). Rum's been my friend for a while because it gets me drunk fast without ever giving me a hangover, but I've mostly been drinking it with ginger ale. With rum & gingers though I never knew how weak or strong each drink was going to be. And I drank them way too fast, which meant I was usually guzzling lots of syrupy soda that is definitely not part of my fitness regime. Even relatively cheap rum went down smoother than I expected, so I'm pretty psyched about it.
Since I knew the concert would keep me out late, I took today off. I was going to go see David Mamet's new film, but it looks like it already closed in Philly, so maybe I'll see the Harmony Korine one about celebrity impersonators and flying nuns instead.
