Thanks again, monkey.
You promised all that I ever desired. And so far, you have lived up to it. Now I do have some sad news for you. It is truly a baleful day when all I can offer is not even an ass, but a woeful tale of monkey. Soon, I will make it up to you. I will perform great art for you, in memory of our fallen comrade. It is hard being an [Bad username: asstronaut>. The recent tragedy of the space shuttle Columbia has only awakened dormant sadness for <a href=]monkey astronauts.</a> America has a better track record than those heartless Russians.

Pour a little out for Gordo.

Sorry to be such a downer. I need more asses to perk myself back up.

May we dress the same and photograph our cheekiness one day?

The Greatest Generation of Monkeys
They were amazing monkeys, the space monkeys, every one of them a great hero. Their unique destinies as both pioneers and slave, victims and transcenders, amazes me always.

I enjoyed seeing the write-ups on Able and Baker (who flew together on the Jupiter 18). They were always special heroes of mine.

Look at Baker. Did any human secret agent ever look so cool? So dashing? Clearly a monkey who lived by his wits.

And of course, fearless Able, the muscle of the two, calmly smoking a cigarette up there among the stars...

I join you in saluting our rocketed comrades!

Your tribute warmed my heart.
In my home state, in a town near me, it is unfortunately illegal to teach your monkey how to smoke. For shame! What else should a monkey do while reflecting upon the glorious of asses recently discovered?
