wayback wednesday: another mystery to solve
So, one of the characters in my novel is an amatuer detective and that's very important for how he enters the story, but in the back of my head it's been bothering me that he doesn't really get to do much sleuthing after that. There is a crime that's central to the plot, but there's little question as to who did it and where they are. It was bothering me enough that I was thinking of changing that about him.

However, today I realized there's still one element of the crime that totally requires sleuthing. Plus it will let me convey some behind-the-scenes details about one of the baddies that I hadn't figured out how to handle. I'm quite psyched.

Thank Ganesha my westbound subway train was late.

Congrats on the inspiration. Or if you want solving your problem.

That is always too cool when it happens.
