Last night I made a beef stew. Didn't get started on it til a little late, so we were only able to sample it a bit rather than make a full meal of it, but it seemed pretty good. Lots of red potato, onion, carrot, portabella mushrooms, celery, and garlic. And red wine. My only real qualm is that it deserved a slightly better cut of meat than I bought for it. Something I'll remedy the next time I make it.
