Humidity is going to reach 7090 percent in Philly today. Even in the cool of the morning, it's already hard to move. In this much mugginess my body maneuvers like it's sick, drugged, and still asleep. The mere effort of pushing through the wet air is enough to keep me from wanting to lift my limbs. And in a few hours the temperature will hit 94 degrees, making my daily lunchtime stroll a sweaty chore rather than pleasant getaway from the office.
And this is just June. It'll be oh so much worse in August.
