On this day in 1969, former resistance fighter Jacques Chaban-Delmas became the Prime Minister of France.

Oh, and I was born.

I am now a very old child. A child with a beard and a mortgage and far too many memories, but still very much a child.

hey, happy birthday, man!

just so you know, I've been following your blog for...hmmn. not sure. but it's been rather a while and I have to say, I'm glad you're out there. I always enjoy reading these glimpses into your (and K's) lives, I find your writing fresh, insightful, witty and just solid as hell. so: happy birthday, man. I'll take your word for it as to whether you're still "very much a child," but damnit, I was born in '71, and I'm right there with ya. I know just how you feel. how *did* we get here?
