wayback wednesday: assmonkey on primetime
Total shoutout to me on Veronica Mars last night when my boy Logan made a website all about asses. Clearly I'm a vital and important influence on the world of pop culture. I just hope all this tremendous power I wield doesn't go to my head....

Remember, with great power comes great responsibility!

I might have to abuse my powers at first just so that I can learn an important lesson.

[Considering he didn't know about Peter's powers, I've always wondered what "great power" Uncle Ben was talking about.

I guess he was just scared because Peter was good at science.]

[Ha ha ha!

Maybe he knew, though, how so many superpowers are due to lab accidents. If your kid is good at science, it's a high risk that he's going to end up with a secret identity. How many English majors turn out to be superheroes?]

[So, it's kind of like the parental puberty speech:

"Now, Peter, when you go off to study science, you're going to find yourself in all kinds of laboratories, exposed to all sorts of new and unexplored radiation. You may start experiencing changes in your body: hair where there wasn't hair before, stretching, sticking to walls, etc. And it may seem like a great power, but be careful you don't abuse it, because, and I want you to remember this, with great power...."]

What a peculiar picture. The bear doesn't look too happy about it.

Wait, where's the bear? Behind the tiger?

I didn't even dream it was possible to love him more.

It's just too bad the first picture he used in his presentation was of a very un-feminine ass. Not sure how the other guys in his class didn't catch that.

And I love this picture. It's the book I snatched at Half-Price Books; Harold Lloyd's Hollywood Nudes in 3-D!

It's not one of the 3-D ones, though.

What a great title.... Hollywood Nudes in 3-D! Such lurid promise!

The 3-D glasses are even styled after Harold's trademark glasses. It's really just a shame, though that they didn't print them as stereoscoiopic images but as the standard red-blue 3-D images. As a result not all of the 3-D ones turn out very well, but the ones that do are really neat.

It has a few pictures of Bettie Page in it, of course. And Tura Satana, but she's not one of the 3-D ones.

All I can say is I love my wife for letting me buy it. But then, she's a fan of the vintage nudes so it's not so surprising. After all, she has a vintage Playboy 2007 planner. (Also snatched from Half Price Books)
