Festival film #1
Film Festival kicked off last night with David Wain's The Ten, ten comedic short stories each based loosely on one of the ten commandments. Basically it was a film version of the old MTV sketch comedy show The State, which I loved back in the day. A few Hollywood types joined the old State cast, including Winona Ryder, Paul Rudd, Jessica Alba, Liev Schreiber, and Adam Brody. It certainly wasn't the most laugh out loud comedy ever, but I found it quirky, absurd and enjoyable.

Ah-- I was wondering when your reviews of the films would kick in. If we get our act together, I hope to see a few movies this time around.
