Well, "The O.C." is over. It's a shame. The fourth season started terrible and morose, but once it got that out of its system, it became one of the funnest seasons ever. Lots of convuleted plots, hilarious mishaps, unexpected romances, character reversals, metafictional riffs on pop culture cliches, and sarcastic one-liners. The finale while not perfect was certainly a fitting ending to the show.
I'm curious about creator Josh Schwartz's future. He and co-creator McG have another series planned about young spies. I'll give it a shot. And I'm sure Adam Brody has a fine film career ahead of him that he can't wait to start.
