January for me means crunching our year-end statistics and preparing powerpoint slides for our annual meeting, which would be fine, except that I still have to do my normal work too. So suddenly I go from having a light "let's see... what websites haven't I been to in a while" workload to having a heavy "damn there's not enough time to get it all done" workload. Working hard really sucks some of the spring out of my step. Or as K. pointed out, it makes me a grump. I reckon I should start being thankful for this annual reality check and start appreciating the other eleven months all the more.
