So Grindhouse was pretty good. Very gimmicky (fake trailers, missing reels, poor sound and film quality), but cutely so. The zombie flick ("Planet Terror") dragged a bit, but it was great to see Freddy Rodriguez and Rose McGowan as action stars. The scenes in the hospital really reminded me of Stuart Gordon's films. I can see why some people might not like Tarrantino's "Deathproof" but I liked the narrative trick he used to take the audience by surprise. And I didn't mind at all the yakking that bothered some people. That's part of his charm as a writer/director.
