Last night's episode of "Lost" was definitely better that the last one.

I like that they know that the nine people who were picked off weren't just random choices. That'll make for some good head-scratching. I'm wondering if they took the ones who most submissive.

And I'm even more curious about Eko. Was that 40 days of silence just a personal pennance thing? Or is that from a specific religious tradition? Like Jesus's 40 days in the desert? Or did he just not feel like speaking until he had something to say?

It was also nice to hear one of the bad guys actually talk even a bit about what's going on.
