"What a sad and lonely life, are you reaching for a knife?"

Well, the Magnetic Fields show was pretty good. They definitely didn't have much stage presence, depending rather on the audience's love of the music. They played "Reno Dakota" which was great, my favorite "Come Back From San Francisco" (although with Stephen singing all the lyrics, which I felt made the sexual dynamic of the song a bit less interesting), and "Yeah, Oh Yeah" (quoted in the subject line, and which I'd never really liked that much because it's so muddled on the album, but performed live was amazing). I was disappointed that they didn't play "The Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side," which was the song that first made me dig them. Overall, it was a good experience, though I feel I probably wouldn't go see them again because of what I took to be their lack of enthusiasm.
