fall television, episode one
"Prison Break" started well last night. Much better than I expected, given that they're starting their problematic post-prison-break season.

"Vanished" came on after that and was very weak in comparison. (Especially given how compelling I found the first episode of NBC's similar series "Kidnapped.") I felt instantly lukewarm toward all the characters and not even slightly curious about how it would all turn out.

I couldn't agree more with you about Vanished. I was so disappointed. The scenes were entirely too rushed, like they were trying to get us all on the edge of our seats with interest and anticipation, but there was nothing behind the pulse.

The characters were boring and trite. And they kept using just about every one of my pet-peeves when it comes to new series, such as introducing that people have worked together before by going: "So, it's good to be working with you again." I mean, how much creativity does that take?? About none.

I'm sorry I missed Kidnapped. With the production values of Vanished being about Prison Break quality, I'm not ready to take one another "fluff" series.

By the way, hello! -waves- I just sort of wandered in. Lovely picture.

And don't worry about having missed "Kidnapped." It hasn't actually aired yet. I just saw one of the previews copies they sent to Netflix.
