"Is it like today?"
Wow, World Party played at South by Southwest this year! Man, I would have loved to have seen them. They've been a favorite band of mine since their first album back in 1987. Kurt Wallinger is like a blend of John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Dylan to me. And they even have a new (or at least newish) album coming out: Dumbing Up, which I guess got a limited UK release a few years ago but never made it to America.

Re: hawaiian island world.
Abso-fucking-lutely.

Even if Kurt is old, I could hardly resist.

K. also says that you (and your family) should just us (and ours, such as it is) for a journey down to DC (sometime after the film festival of course) so that we may partake of the joy that is dada (or is it Dada? DaDa?).

Re: hawaiian island world.
i agree! on all counts...

lee and i were talking about that last night, actually. i have to look up the info, but i would love to go see the dada thing. also, we have to get K our address before she takes off, so we can get postcard action.

i wonder if it's better to dada, DaDa, or Dada? hm..a question for the ages, that one.

Thanks for reminding me about World Party. First two albums are great I think. I noticed the newer album you mentioned is available at Amazon.com as an import. Hmmm.

Oh, then you missed out on "Bang," did you? That one's my favorite. Do yourself a favor and pick it up!
