I am soooo making chili this weekend. Who knows? It might last weekend cold enough to justify my hunger for comfort food.

With chili I mostly just wing it. I like a mix of ground beef and hot sausage. A few varieties of hot peppers (habanero and poblano and jalapeno usually). Plus loads of good chili powder. I like it tomatoey, so I simmer it for a while in a combination of crushed tomatoes and tomato puree. And I use a several cans of beans. Corn and cilantro are nice too. Last time, I threw in a healthy lump of brown sugar and my girlfriend went wild for the sweetness.

haha, whoops, i kinda skimmed your message and just went straight for the pic, and didn't see that you said it's a statue. i'm thinking, “damn, what is up with her complexion?!”
