And the award for coolest chess set in a motion picture goes to... "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman"
Watched a movie called "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" this weekend. Ava Gardner and James Mason directed by Albert Lewin. It was extraordinarilly poetic, usually to non-realistic, even absurd, effect, but I kinda like that. Love is portrayed quite a bit like insanity in it (the big theme is "The measure of love is what one is willing to give up for it") and all the dudes have cool professions like race car driver, matador or archeologist. If you enjoy big beautiful pretentious old film classics I highly recommend it.

Old films and things
Went the weekend well?
Glad you enjoyed our old film; I saw it in about 1853, when a mere boy. But this picture is seriously disturbing; she looks like she could be about twelve years old. Goldilocks even. Who's been eating her porage?

12 years old? With hips like that? I don't think so.

In that position, even I have hips like that. You obviously don't get out too much.

Or I don't pay enough attention when I do.
