Man, it's a good thing West Wing has already officially jumped the shark, because last night's live debate was such a classic shark jumper, I could practically hear Fonzie's motorboat in the distance. Mind you, I don't mean to come down hard on gimmicky experimental television, it's just that it was sooooo boring. The dealing with real life political issues usually provides the least compelling moments of the West Wing (especially since Sorkin left), so an episode that was nothing but? Silly. Note to Mr. Wells: "Dramas must--by their very nature--contain... wait for it... drama."
