spending the winter in Azeroth
My friend Stephen sent me a "Scroll of Resurrection" for World of Warcraft. I'm tempted to compare this ten day free pass (intended to get old players back in the game) to offering an ex-junkie a free bag of heroin, but frankly the last time I signed back up (right after Burning Crusade), I got pretty bored with it after only two weeks. So it probably won't be too bad this time (famous last words).

Yeah, it's basically choosing to hibernate for the winter.

Who's today's model? She looks super familiar.

the expansion is phenomenal. they've absolutely done it right this time around. i just hit 80 yesterday on my main and i'm going back to work on the lock or priest... not sure yet.

anyway, the storylines are great, the zones are fantastic and the overall feel is badass. rock it.

Re:
That's what I heard from my brother and nephew who proceeded to make me watch You Tube videos of dragon attacks.

Is there any any new low level material in the expansion or just high level stuff?

Re:
not low-level technically. I'm sure they'll add a few things here and there with patches.

Death Knights start at level 55, so that's the real only backwards compatibility with the old world. I'd really like to see them work on some old things to keep it up to date. All the capital cities (except Stormwind where the boats are...) are ghost towns...

I second the praise for the new expansion. It managed to rejuvenate my flagging enthusiasm, goddamnit.

Oooh, you're playing! We'll have to team up.

(Although I seem to remember most of my in-game messages to you being intercepted by your husband who was often playing your characters. Thank the Lich King they weren't naughty messages!

Aw! Uh, uh, he doesn't play any of my characters now! Naughty message away!!

I third the praise for the new expansion packs.

why do you always seem to post the best photos in conjunction with some of the duller blog material? actually, let me theorise:
- WOW talk always makes me glaze over and look for something else to catch my attention.
- this girl could take my attention from breakdancers wearing flashing lights and ninjas doing parkour.

Adam went back recently to try the death knight thing, but I think he has already gotten tired of it and will be quitting soon.

The day I go back to play WOW will be the day they make it much much easier for a gnome to get a ram for a mount. If I could have a gnome AND a ram and not have to work too hard to get this combination, I would be content to roam the countryside of WOW picking flowers and appreciating how cute my gnome and ram are.
