snow falling on fig leaves
It's fun watching the snow falling on our fig tree. The fig leaves are so wide that they can catch quite a lot of snow, but they're supple enough that they quickly bend and drop their payload, often onto the next leave down, which then collapses itself, and so on. And then they all spring back and start catching the snow again. It reminds me a little of a pachinko machine.

You don't mean to suggest you are already getting snow?

I do indeed. And just a week ago it was in the 70s!

That's crazy. Good thing you turned your heater on.

I'm surprised at how much I enjoy that photo, given how far it is from my normal range. It has a '70s rotating-flashbulb-cube feel, but the face and hair could be contemporary. Confounding, sir!

I feel the same way. It just really grabs my eyes.

To find shoots with a more classic feel, I've been tracking down European magazines. This one was from a Spanish magaine called Man (January, 2000).
