over the hill
Leave it to Hillary Clinton to try and turn what should have been a concession speech into something that sounded like a proclamation of victory. Lots of jaw wagging from her about party unity and defeating the republicans, but because of her huge ego she's still trying to stand in the way of both. And I used to really like her! Despite her hints, she can't possibly believe the VP slot is open to her. Not after the dirty and cynical campaign she just waged. Also, she's hugely divisive, not just among independents and republicans, but increasingly amongst her own party. Bill Richardson or Kathleen Sebelius would be much better choices.

I feel the same way, and I can't understand why my husband doesn't see this.

I'm not familiar enough with Richardson or Sebelius to say one way or another about them, but I definitely agree about Hillary. Two years ago the thought of Hillary on a presidential ticket would have made me giddy with anticipation. She managed to squander all that good will, to the point that I don't even like Bill anymore!

Still, I'm quite psyched about Obama. Now I can finally get an Obama bumper sticker and not look like a delusional fool.

And that is one awesome photo...

I was wondering about that too. She's definitely got movie star style, but I can't place her.

I 100% agree with you on the Bill Richardson thing. Our man Obama really needs a running mate who can help corral the Latino vote. I think John Edwards would be a poor choice, for example, as much I respect him.

How about Edwards for Attorney General?

totally agree with you re: Clinton, Richardson, and Sebelius. It makes me queasy to even think of Hillary on Obama's ticket, I hope no one is seriously considering that.

Hmmm.
Wow. I have been wondering if I have developed some kind of irrational dislike for Hillary Clinton. But it seems I am not alone. And whenever I hear Bill Clinton stump I cringe. I used to be a fan. I voted for him too. Hillary officially lost my vote giving the nod to the popular vote tactic to stay in the race (using defective Clinton math) and accusing the Obama camp of manipulating the media to push her out of the race recently. Hillary shows so much ambition that I think she'd kick over her Grandmother if it would get her another vote.
