wayback wednesday: Marilyn
Bert Stern was the photographer for what turned about to be Marilyn Monroe's final photo shoot. In a Los Angeles hotel suite, over the course of three days, they took nearly 2,600 pictures, many of them nude and semi-nude, something she hadn't done since very early in her career. Stern could see that she was very troubled, but he also said, "She was beautiful and untouched, it was as though she were just beginning." Six weeks later she was dead.

This is one of those photographs.

I think I flicked by a documentary on that either earlier this week or last. I flicked because I thought it was just another "death due to celeb aka.. what does the future have in store for Britney?" type tabloimentary.

Thats such a nice photo.

Oddly enough, it was seeing that the other night that inspired the post.

The expression on her face is scary but her butt is magnificent.
