And don't even get me started on how great Juice Newton was...
Had fun last night hanging out in one of the two air-conditioned rooms in our sauna house with K. and our houseguest, listening to really old songs from my hard drive and youtube.

It's possible that I spoke too effusively about the pop genius of 80s heartthrob Rick Springfield, but I doubt it.

I'm pretty sure that song is the first time I ever heard the word "moot."

I knock him not, I promise! I come to praise Rick Springfield, not to bury him!

Is one of the roles the evil twin/clone of the other?

Kegboy: Dance Of Joykegboy on August 9th, 2007 06:24 pm (UTC)
No. They just happen to look exactly alike. The regular Rick character is a neurosurgeon who is, in this storyline, standing in for his other character, a rockstar who cant perform at a charity concert because he needs brain surgery!!! So Rick Springfield will perform on tv once again.

It's impossible to speak too effusively about Rick Springfield. I was just thinking about him yesterday because, while at the gym, "Jesse's Girl" came on my MP3 player. I enjoy the Rick.

And it's not just the big hits that were great. There was a decade-long period when every break-up mix-tape I made had "What Kind of Fool Am I?" on it.

dude, rick springfield fucking rocks. seriously. if lee didn't loathe him, i'd definitely be listening to my records way more!

Hehe... I kinda love the image of you making Lee listen to Rick Springfield records. He's all sulky and smoking his cigarette through a crumpled-up face.

that's actually very close to the reality. add some under-the-breath grumbling, and you're spot on!

Gee and I was feeling old, until I read all the Rick Springfield comments...wait. Who listened to his music when it first came out???

Great pix, too!
