It's only TV wasteland.....
When the best shows coming through my rabbit ears are Hidden Palms and So You Think You Can Dance, the summertime television famine is definitely upon us.

In order to fill the void I've been dredging the net for shows I ignored the first time around. I'm currently doing season two of David Mamet's The Unit, which is really impressive (even if your're not exactly turned on the idea of a show set in the military). After that I'm probably going to watch the British Life on Mars, (even though I'm kind of over cop shows) if for no other reason than it takes its title from my favorite Bowie song. Then I'll likely give Friday Night Lights a tryout (even though it's about football of all things), because I was impressed by the season finale when I caught it by chance at bar during the film festival.

What a mysterious photo. Three women naked in a room watching a blank white screen. Looks like it belongs in some late night sci-fi thriller.

I haven't watched Life on Mars because I thought it looked a little boring, but now I know a bit more of the story I'm slightly annoyed at myself for not having given it a chance.

I liked the last season of the OC. The beginning of the season was a little gloomy, but once they get past that, it's fun fun fun.

I'll probably be the last person to get around to watching Battlestar.

I watched a big chunk of Friday Night Lights while there was a marathon while I was home sick one day. It wasn't good enough to make me ever tune it in again, but it was suck-in-able enough that I watched it all that day.

I remember getting sucked into an all day marathon of My So Called Life one morning and being really freaked out when the sun went down just a little bit later. I was all like "Wait... didn't the sun just freaking come up? What did my day go?"
